Dr. Rhonda Norwood received a Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 2001 and a doctorate degree in 2007. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Psychiatry and Neurology Department of the Tulane University School of Medicine in Infant Mental Health. 

Rhonda has worked in the Greater Baton Rouge community with infants, toddlers, and their families since 2001 in clinic and private practice settings. Rhonda's areas of expertise include perinatal work, emotional and behavioral disturbances in young (0-6 years of age) children, parenting, parent-child relationship/attachment issues, and trauma focused treatment. Rhonda is also experienced in working with older (6-9 years of age) children with anxiety, depression, or other emotional disorders.

Rhonda offers the following services:

• Treatment of perinatal/postpartum depression and anxiety

• Infant (0 to 6 years) mental health

• Treatment of children with depression, anxiety, and other emotional or behavioral disorders

• Treatment of trauma

• Adoption home studies

• Some limited child custody evaluation/consultation

• Supervised/therapeutic visitation
