Financial Therapy
The research is clear: Our mental health impacts our finances, and our finances impact our mental health. Financial therapy can transform your relationship with money and transform your wellbeing.
You can benefit from financial therapy if
-
money is related to your identity rather than seen as a tool
-

-
you have stress, anxiety, depression, shame, or guilt related to your finances
-
you don't feel confident or competent with money matters
-
you are not meeting your financial goals
-
you have any financial related matter negatively impacting your wellbeing!
What does a financial therapist do?
-
Improves how people think, feel, and act related to money
-
Teaches financial literacy and money management skills
-
Helps couples/partners communicate to better work towards shared financial goals
-
Helps people to recognize how their past experiences (trauma, attachment, etc.) are related to current financial circumstances to more effectively change them
-
Helps people to change impulsive, compulsive, and self-defeating money habits
-
Helps people to improve their relationship with money to enjoy the freedom, experiences, and goods it can buy
